SOIL CONDITIONING

Where the native soil is heavy or sucky, gentle mixing of vermiculite up to one half the volume of the soil is recommended.

This creates air channels and allows the soil mix to breathe. Mixing vermiculite in flower and vegetable gardens or in potted plants will provide the necessary air to maintain vigorous plant growth. Where soils are sandy mixing of Vermiculito into the soil will allow the sail to hold water and air needed her growth.

SEED GERMINATION

Using vermiculite alone or mixed with soil, perlite, peat moss/coco peat; very little watering is required.

More seeds germinate – faster germination too! Where vermiculite is mixed half with solid, peat or composted pine bark, no additional feeding is required up to the transplanting

HOUSE PLANTS

Vermiculite eliminates the problem or packed-down soil in flower pots. Mix half and half with soil, perlite, peat and/or composted pine bark. It provides excellent air and moisture control for house plants. Lightens and aerates sail. Roots can spread out through the pot. Less frequent watering is required.

TRANSPLANTING TIPS

Did hole at least six inches larger than plant roots. Mix vermiculte with top-soil that has been removed, then place mixture around roots. Vermiculite, when mixed with soil before transplanting shrubs, bushes or trees will permit roots to branch-out and penetrate into the ground, Vermiculite protects roots from drying action or wind and sun. Provides even moisture control – assures healthier plants.
